Addressed to all Junior YM Coaches,
 

At the end of the season last year the club ran a workshop on club strengths and new initiatives.  One of the feedback was to create a platform that serviced the following:

• Every player in each year group to have the same  positive coaching experience from Div 1 to Div 4

• Each year group to have a minimum target for core skill development. 

• Provide support and mentorship to our junior coaches to help develop volunteer skill sets. 
   

As a result the junior club had created the following initiative that we hope you embrace.  

1. The club will run an information night for coaches and interested parents to explain the coaching support for 2024, provide resources and present the new YMCC Junior Hockey Coaching Handbook.

2. Create a pool of available coaching mentors for newer coaches

3. Create a pool of specialist coaches who can come and attend a session, teaching a specialist skill to your team.

This concept is in its infancy, we will also seek your feedback on our approach.  

The coaches meeting will be held at Perry Lakes Clubhouse, 6.30pm - 8pm Tuesday 30^th April 2024.

We would really value even the more experienced coaches attending to help pass on any advice to our newer coaches who will be there. It will also allow us to introduce you all to each other.
